Beaujolais Nouveau
Hosted by the French American Chamber of Commerce, this year's Beaujolais Nouveau Festival made a splash in Atlanta. With its slight hint of banana (although, I failed to detect that flavor, even after three glasses) it proves to be an elegant beverage for any dinner.
Favorite friends, Nini, Pammy, Cindy and Emory, gathered to share the season's release as well as catch up before schedules become too hectic during the busy holidays.
"Au Pied de Cochon" (something about pigs feet) added to the French feel of the festival. With its outdoor seating (yes, some French folks still need a place "pour allumer une fumée" to light a smoke) and one of Atlanta's mild fall evenings, guests spilled over to the terrace.
A perfect accompaniment to the beaujolais was Gary Land Entertainment. Flanked by French femme fatals, Monique, Claudine and Nini (and one cute waiter) the band enjoyed a brief pause.
